Scene 1: Ext: Garden, Night.
Arthur the mole and Harry the fox. Harry is running, trying to catch Arthur. Arthur digs a hole in the ground to escape and bumps into a box.
Arthur
Oh what did I find?
Harry
Hey! Show me what you have found. Right now!
Arthur
Of course not!
Harry
I’m getting tired now but I will be here tomorrow night.
Arthur:
Phew that pest is gone
Arthur sits down and starts to think about what the box was. He gives it a shake but doesn’t hear anything inside. He decides to dig around it to free up some space. When he opens there is a diary inside it.
SFX: A voice comes from the diary.
Diary
(softly)
Open my cover.
Arthur
(to himself)
Did I just hear a voice?
Diary
(shouting)
Yes you did!
Arthur opens the cover. To his surprise there is a magical face.
Diary
Hello, my name is Dan the Diary. I’ve come here to give you a message from Princess Mary, the Damsel Fly.
Arthur gets sucked into the diary…
