“Banana Man!” shouted Amber.
There was no answer. Amber looked around the street but Banana Man was nowhere to be found. She saw a banana smudge on the road.
“AHH!” she shrieked.
Banana Man came out from behind the bin.
“I got you!” he laughed.
It started earlier that morning, when Amber had pranked Banana Man. She had pretended that she had broken her arm in a car accident.
Banana Man had started crying, but then Amber took off her cast and started to laugh. Banana Man had stormed off and plotted his revenge in his room.
Amber started laughing and they went back to her house together.
Later on that day, they were playing in the garden when Amber’s mum came out. Amber’s mum didn’t know about Banana Man so he had to hide. He climbed up the tree in the back garden so Amber’s mum didn’t find him.
“I didn’t know that tree grew bananas,” said Amber’s mum. “Why don’t you go and pick that banana?”
“No thank you,” said Amber politely, “It doesn’t look very nice.”
“I will pick it myself then, if you won’t!” Amber’s mum said crossly.
Meanwhile, up in the tree, Banana Man heard this and shook with fear. Suddenly, a bird picked Banana Man up and flew away…
