One day in a dog world, Rocky the boxer dog was boxing like normal. Rocky was in his garage training. He was practicing with his new cheetah-printed boxing gloves and cheetah-printed punch bag.
Rocky was training because next Saturday was the Worldwide Doggy Boxing (WDB) Championship.
“I need to have confidence in myself if I want to win this championship,” he said to himself. “Then I can win the grand prize of 5 million doggy biscuits and fulfill my greatest wish!”
His best friend Chickadee the Border collie came over to say hi.
“I believe that you can win the championship!” he said to Rocky.
“Thank you,” replied Rocky. “Will you help me train?”
Suddenly, there was a noise on the roof. A cat slid down the roof, jumped in through the window and pounced on the punch bag.
“If you lose this boxing match, your father will live,” he threatened. “If you win, he will die!”
He jumped off the punch bag, scrabbed Rocky in the face and ran out the door.
“Bark my words, I will save my dad AND win the championship!!” said Rocky…
