The Special EU Programmes Body has announced new funding awards from the €1.14bn PEACEPLUS Programme. A total of €13,321,097 has been approved to support a range of projects delivering formal and non-formal shared learning.
Our new project, Write Quest, will run from 29th October to 14th December on Tuesday evenings (4.15pm to 5.45pm) and two Saturday field trips! Its open to 13-18-year-olds of all experience and ability levels. You don’t have to already be a writer.
Guthanna Óga - Young Voices is the youth advisory panel for Fighting Words and Fighting Words Northern Ireland. These young people are the most important advisors to our staff and board, not only because they are responsible for bringing the voices of young people into a room of adults, but also because they are our only official panel that spans the whole island of Ireland. Guthanna Óga - Young Voices brings together the perspectives and experiences from all of Fighting Words centres.

On 29 July 2024, Taoiseach, Simon Harris TD, and Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin TD, announced the awarding of funding to 6 successful Creative Youth on a Shared Island projects as part of the Shared Island dimension to the Creative Ireland Programme 2023-2027, including a project with Fighting Words, Fighting Words NI, and Graffiti Theatre Company.
