Story Summary:
‘If I knew what this evening would lead to.. I would not have left’.
It had started off as a normal day, the sky was clear and the sun was shining. What would you expect on a Saturday in the middle of July? I decided it would be a good day to visit the beach for the first time since I had arrived for my holiday. It was a short enough drive and I was there in minutes. The beach was long, narrow and gently sloping into a vivid blue sea surrounded by white crystal sand. As the day wore on the clouds began to sink. Closer to the pier the waves grew stronger than they had been.
