Tim the monkey woke up in a big tree. It was a nice, bright, sunny day in the Amazon rainforest. He was in a brilliant mood, and thought to himself, ‘It’s gonna be a good day today.’
He went outside to meet his best friend, Jim, who was an enormous pink orangutan. They went to go climb about in the trees.
Jim said to Tim, “Oh, I’m SOOO hungry. Do you want to go and pick some bananas?”
They saw a giant vault, and wondered why it was so big. On top of the vault there was a psychic banana statue.
‘I want that psychic banana!’ screamed Tim. He was very excited. They decided to break in and snatch the banana.
‘How are we going to get in?’ the two friends said at the same time in a confused voice.
Tim said, ‘There’s a branch that’s going to fall off that tree. Let’s climb up and get it.’
Jim raced up the tree and hung off it to pull off the branch. They broke into the vault. Suddenly the guard, an enormous banana called Peely, stepped out. He had been disguised as the statue and he was holding the psychic banana.
Tim screamed, “RUN!”
They ran away but giant Peely was super quick. But they had a plan. “Jim, throw me the magic cape!” shouted Tim. Tim became invisible and climbed up Peely. He grabbed the banana and started to run. They ran home to their big cave and boarded up the door with a ginormous hammer that they used together, and humongous nails.
Peely searched for them, and after tickling ten monkeys they told him where the cave was…
