One day a mammoth woke up on the cold floor in a cave beside his best friend Croco. The mammoth’s name was Woolly and Croco was a green crocodile. Woolly was usually scared of all the other animals in the world, but Croco is the only one he wasn’t afraid of, because Croco was also afraid of every other animal in the world.
When Woolly and Croco stood up they both walked over to the apple tree beside their cave and Woolly picked some red apples for them to eat. They looked at each other and said excitedly "What is your greatest wish?" and they both agreed their greatest wish was to travel the world.
After they finished talking about their greatest wish, Woolly looked down and saw there was a big drop. They both fell down with a thud. The drop was as tall as a building. They landed on a soft spot, it felt like a cushion. It was very squishy dirt and they got covered in mud.
They saw a hot air balloon beside them. They jumped in it excitedly and decided to fly across the world. But the balloon didn’t work. There were holes in the actual balloon part. They decided to fix it using the leaves off the trees. But the leaves blew off. They tried cutting off some of Woolly’s fur, but they couldn’t cut it off because Woolly’s fur was too thick. They were looking around and they found a bit of material and they got bits of leaves and straw to tie it together. But then the straw untied itself, so it wouldn’t work and they were very mad.
They saw a run-down sweet shop beside them and decided they could use the sweet wrappers to fix the balloon. They got all the sweets in the shop and they stuck them on the balloon until all of the holes were fixed.
The balloon was now fixed, but they didn’t have any fuel for the fire…
