Once upon a time there was a hamster called Waffles. His owner thought that he liked to stay in his cage all day. When he first got the cage he noticed a dent in the bottom: he started digging from then. He disguised all the soil that he dug out with his poo.
Once he got one foot down he heard a strange sound and he dug towards the sound to find a cricket.
“Who are you?” asked Waffles suspiciously.
“What are you doing here?” said the cricket.
“This is going to be my tunnel.” said Waffles.
“But I’ve been doing this since I was born,” said the cricket.
“This is my home. I’m Waffles” said the hamster. “What’s your name?”
“My name is Skipper,” said the cricket. “Why don’t we run this tunnel business together?”
“Let’s store food and create a sanctuary for worms!” said Waffles.
