The Lusitania was docked in New York Port. Mike liked big ships. He waited and when no one was looking he sneaked aboard. The ship set sail to Scotland and Mike was on a long adventure.
Mike took a walk around. He met up with the captain on the deck and they became friends. The captain gave Mike a job.
“Will you look out for German U-boats?” asked the Captain. “Help me to keep the ship safe,” he said.
Mike was so excited. Mike loved his adventure, and the captain gave him a gold medal for helping him to get the Lusitania safely to Scotland.
