It was a stormy night and Kate was in bed. One of the lightning strikes came through the window and hit her. She woke up straight away and her powers started. She started to get scared and worried. Not only that, her sister was in the other room and she was scared Jesse would find out.
She sat up in the bed and reached for the picture of her mum. A few seconds later she realised it was stone.
The next morning she went downstairs for her breakfast and Jesse was there. She reached for a glass so she could have some juice and it turned to stone.
Jesse asked, “What have you done?” She was quite shocked. ‘I don’t know,’ Kate said, ‘I was struck by lighting and since last night I have had my powers.’
Kate was scared that Jesse would tell her Dad or her Mum. ‘Please don’t tell anybody I have powers, keep it as a secret.’
Later that night they went to bed and Jesse said she would stay with her sister in case anything happened. Although little did Jesse know that the curse was spreadable. So Jesse got cursed in the middle of the night!
The next afternoon, Jesse was quite cross because nobody knew that the curse had spread. In the middle of class, she turned into a vampire! Jesse didn’t know at first until she grew fanged teeth…
