Boom! Crash! One of Rob’s spells was going wrong!
Rob’s mum came upstairs.
‘Why do your spells keep going wrong? They’re causing a lot of racket!’
Rob was annoyed because his mum told him off so he did a spell on her.
It was a spell that made her go backwards whenever she tried to go forwards. But the spell backfired on him. It reversed and happened to him!
Rob tried to go into the bathroom but ended up in bed. A puff of green smoke exploded around him and then he was covered in green ash.
He tried to go into the bathroom again but he fell out of the window.
Rob felt something soft but also scaly. He looked down and saw a dragon!
The dragon set Rob down softly on the ground. Rob got up, tried to go towards the dragon, but he still had the spell on him and he just went backwards into a bush.
So Rob had to walk backwards to the dragon to shake his hand. He whispered, ‘Thank you!’ to the dragon.
The dragon tilted his head as if he was trying to understand Rob and backed away. He didn’t know what was going to happen.
The dragon had never seen a person before…
