In the sewers wandered a dark rat called Rabean, on the search for food. Rabean was with his best friend Kelo the meerkat, who secretly had food, but was hiding it from Rabean.
“Do you have any food? I’m really hungry,” cried Rabean.
“None at all,” lied Kelo. He greedily denied it because he wanted to save the food for himself.
They both started running when Rabean saw a gang of mice, The Sewer Crawlers. When they got around the corner and were hidden, Rabean saw Kelo’s food, that had fallen out of his little back-pack.
“You liar!” said Rabean, distraught. “Why are you lying to me?”
“Oh… that’s not mine! I don’t know where that came from!” exclaimed Kelo.
All of a sudden, the Sewer Crawlers came back, following the trail of food, and the two friends ran out of the sewer. Kelo felt bad, and took Rabean to the restaurant that he worked at.
They were sitting at the window waiting for their food, when Kelo noticed a big tent. It looked like a circus tent.
Kelo said, “Don’t you want to be an acrobat? Why don’t you go and see if you can get a job there?”
