Jessica was sitting in her front garden when her best friend April came to visit.
April said to Jessica “Do you want to go horse riding?”
They went to April’s house to get money for their horse riding lessons that were happening in Botanic Gardens.
When they got there, there was a very pretty golden tabby cat.
April said: “Look at that pretty little tabby cat, let’s take it home”
They realised that they had forgotten that the horse riding was actually closed that day. Jessica and April felt really sad that the horse riding was closed, but then they remembered that they had a birthday party to go to at the Grand Opera House.
It was Mark’s birthday party, and he was turning 13 years old. Mark was the cowboy that lived across the street from Jessica. So they all go and sit on a pink sofa, when the sofa in the Grand Opera House says:
“Oi watch it! You’re hurting me!”
They were so surprised that they got up and ran.
There was a play happening at the Grand Opera House starring May McFetridge, and everyone was very shocked at the noise of the children screaming at the talking sofa. Then, they realised what they were screaming at and they also ran out.
Suddenly, April said: “Oh no! The cat has ran away, out of the cage!”
