Gary and His Big Wish

Gary was sitting in his cave with his best friend Jerry, a rainbow penguin. He was very sad because his biggest wish was to start a family, but he did not have a wife. His cave was next to a river and it was very bright because he was a neon bear.

They were talking about how Gary wanted a family. “Please help me get a family, I’m begging you!” he said.

“How can I help you?” replied Jerry, “You can’t get across the river. That’s where all the other bears are”

“You can just carry me over there,” said Gary, straight faced. His fur was purple and his eyes were blue. For the past 6 months Gary’s eyes were changing colour every time he breathed.

“Is that the best answer you could come up with?” said Jerry.

Gary and Jerry decided to go for a walk. They were on their way to the lake when they found a crystal.

“Oh look, there’s a crystal” whispered Gary to himself. He didn’t want Jerry to have it. He picked it up, tripped and fell into the lake. He held the crystal tightly and made a wish: I wish I was out of the lake and dry. He sank into the ground…
