The Cry for Help

Ted was burying his favourite butterfly. As he was walking away he forgot about the empty hole and fell in.

It began to darken as the man called for help. A man heard him and walked over to the hole, but he fell in…

The man was blind and he started to feel the other man’s face, and asked, “What’s your name, boy?”

“The name’s Ted,” he said in a scared tone.

“OK, Ted. My name’s Harry,” said the blind man.

Ted got very sad and started to tear up.

“At least nothing can get worse,” said Harry.

As Ted was about to reply the soil began to cave in on them. Ted screamed in horror…

Suddenly, as the walls were about to close in on them, his alarm clock went off. He woke up shouting, “Help me, Harry!”

He instantly realised it was a bad night’s sleep. Ted walked off, relived but still curious. As for the blind man, that’s a different story.
