Barry was at work and his boss said, ‘You’re fired again, Barry!’
Barry told his boss to buzz off. ‘If I’m going to get fired I might as well put these bees back’, and he took a handful of bees out of his pocket. He threw them at the boss and ran out of the room.
Saoirse was at a bus stop by herself. She rang Barry to tell him he was supposed to meet her 20 minutes ago. Barry picked up the phone as he was leaving and Saoirse could hear his boss shouting at him.
Barry said, ‘I’m going to be a bit late. I sniffed a flower and a bee went up my nose.’ He was avoiding telling her that he’d lost his job, again - and the truth that he was a giant bee!
He told her to go back to the apartment, ‘I’ll meet you there.’
Saoirse was tired after work and fell asleep at the bus-stop.
She was kidnapped by bees from the colony who were in human form, trying to find out information about Barry, who had escaped from the colony. The bees turned Saoirse into a giant bee herself!
Saoirse and Barry were living together, keeping the secret from each other.
Whenever they turned into bees and returned to the colony they didn’t recognise each other…
