The Back-flipping Grannies

Granny Anna was a great backflipper and her best friend was Granny Susan. They met in the Quadruple Back-Flipping contest. Training wasn’t going well for Anna because she hadn’t had her Weetabix.

“I should’ve had my Weetabix today. Now I can’t do any quadruple backflips anymore!” she disappointedly cried out loud.

She drank 20 bottles of children's blood and she was able to do 100 backflips in a row. Twenty bottles was too much and she felt sick. Susan and her friend were trying different diets to see what would work for them, they wanted to figure out if the blood was good or bad.

Granny Susan googled looking for a cure. She rushed into the kitchen and added sugar and pepper to the blood mixture.

Years ago, her pet watermelon disappeared and Granny Anna found out that her neighbours’ children had eaten half of it. Ever since then, she had been terrified of children so she moved to a different house.

Granny Anna went to the skate park where she practised every minute of every day. She was already the second best back-flipper and front-flipper. The two friends were practising their skating and some children came over to the fence.

“Come on, come over here, look at me doing my backflips!” Susan shouted out to the children.

Granny Anna felt absolutely scared and terrified. Susan noticed this and took the children over to another part of the park so Granny Anna could practise.

One of the children ran over to Granny Anna and said “Would you like to play with us?” Granny Anna was lost for words, she was stuttering and didn’t know what decision to make. Then suddenly, she saw someone with a pet watermelon and it made her remember her past…
