Somewhere in the 25th century…
John was returning from holiday on Naboo in the spaceship. When he landed, he said, “Home Sweet Home.” He felt welcomed being in a familiar location again. Whilst away, he felt happy but homesick. He missed his ancient goldfish.
The year was 2513 and Tesco had taken over the entire UK.
Adam lived in an old Tesco supermarket, it was still blue and red, and he had renovated it to be homely. John arrived on his electric, golden special scooter, the Lambretta. It was the last one on the Earth!
The digital sensor at the door scanned John’s face and notified Adam he was there and let him in.
“Knock, knock,” said John ironically.
Adam was listening to music on the Tesco speakers when the closing time message came on to mark the end of the day. He was busy cleaning his technologically advanced armour.
“Well mate?” said Adam
“Well mate, what’s the craic?” replied John.
“How was the holiday?”
“Fantabulous, got heat stroke on the first day,” complained John.
“Terrible, mate,” Adam said.
“Don’t you wish you were on holiday with me, mate?”
“Nah, mate.”
“My heart, mate, it’s broke into a million pieces,” said John and croaked it.
“Aww, mate not again.”
Adam got on his headset and called his team of robots to clean up the mess and resuscitate his friend.
“Where’s my goldfish, mate?” said John when he came round.
“In the food aisle.”
John and Adam walked round to the food aisle together.
“Well, he isn’t there.”
“It was.”
“He hardly grew legs and walked away, mate…”
