Yodelling Again

Once upon a time, there was a wolf called Wilf. He was a very strange wolf because he always wore a tuxedo.

Wilf’s best friend was called Harry Trotter. He was a magic, friendly pig. Harry Trotter always wore a black cloak and carried a magic wand in his curly tail.

A couple of years ago, Harry Trotter had given Wilf a tuxedo. He had given it to him because there was a baked beans stain on the back of the jacket. Harry Trotter had tried to clean the tux but he’d accidently used the wrong spell. His spell had given the suit yodelling powers.

One day in August, Wilf was getting ready to go to the World Yodelling Championships. He warmed up his vocal cords by singing ‘Hello’ by Adele. He was already wearing his black and lucky yodelling tux. He was feeling nervous.

Babs the sheep arrived at Wilf’s house down a bunny hole.

“I know I’m going to win the championship!!” said Babs. “You can’t yodel very well.”

“I’m happy to take part. I don’t mind if I come second,” said Wilf.

“I don’t mind if you come second. Just don’t bring your little friend Trotter. He’s a big nuisance,” said Babs.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Harry Trotter walked in. “What did I miss?” he said, confused that Babs was there. They had been arch-enemies since they were piglets and lambs.

“You are a baa-d magician!” said Babs.

Harry Trotter pulled his wand from his tail. “Win guardium leviosa!” he shouted.

Babs turned into a croaking frog…
