Applications are open for our third annual Fighting Words NI summer camp!

The two camps are FREE, week-long, eco-centric creative writing camps, themed alongside our Starling Revival project.

The camps are open to 13-to-18-year-olds of all experience and ability levels. The camps will be split by age, one from 1st to 5th July for 16-to-18-year-olds and one from 5th to 9th August for 13-to-15-year-olds. Sessions will run from 10am to 1pm Monday to Friday.

We’ll be discovering ways of living sustainably while exploring different forms of creative writing, from poetry to prose to songwriting. Let your imagination fly free and create a portfolio of writing in a supported environment of other young writers and a community of creatives. We will end the week in a celebration showcase for family and friends. Best of all, our participants will get the chance to see their work in print in the Starling Revival Zine, published in September!
