Story Seeds Cross Border Project - 80 Young Writers Come Together To Create!

Students from three schools travelled to the Íontas Centre in Castleblayney for a day of creativity

The Story Seeds Cross Border Project is all about bringing young people together to create connections and create stories about communities. Fighting Words and Fighting Words NI brought together eighty young people at the Íontas Centre in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan on Friday, 19th January. 

Special thanks to David Maine and the entire team of mentors and staff at Íontas for a creative and inspiring day. 

Celebrating Communities with a Theme!

The students were from three local post-primary schools in Carrickmacross, Crossmaglen and Keady. They wrote fantastic stories together that celebrate the areas they come from within the gothic genre. The stories will be included in the forthcoming publications featuring the work of the thousands of young authors who have participated in the Story Seeds project since September 2023.
