FREE workshops for youth groups

Shared Agenda for Peace is an exciting and unique opportunity for youth groups in the areas of Newry, Mourne and Down and Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon to explore peace work through the lens of creativity.

The project will engage young people (ages 11-25), youth workers, and volunteers in a creative writing and peace building programme with Fighting Words NI that helps build relationships and connections through shared experiences.

The core themes of the project are:

1. Developing the People

We will provide:
Creative writing workshops for young people which develop confidence, creativity, and communication skills
OCN training opportunities for staff and volunteers on a range of skills and knowledge for youth work

2. Developing the Practice:

We will work with the youth group leaders and volunteers to develop an interactive youth led programme, social action and a residential all through the lens of creative writing, leaving you with knowledge, skills, and frameworks to continue the same practices with your group for years to come.

3. Developing the Organisation

We will provide committee support on governance and inclusion to ensure that the positive impact we make together is as profound and long-lasting as possible.

We will also provide other opportunities and supports such as:

  • Teambuilding
  • Small Grants opportunities
  • Youth Achievement Awards

The timeline and content of the workshop delivery have room to be tailored to your groups needs to make it as accessible and useful as possible.
