Fighting Words NI has welcomed two new members to the Board.
A warm welcome to Paul Connolly and Rick O’Shea!
Paul Connolly is a songwriter with NI alternative rock band, The Wood Burning Savages. They have appeared at Glastonbury and are twice winners of the Northern Ireland Music Prize. Paul is a frequent voice on both BBC Radio Ulster and Foyle as an Arts & Cultural correspondent, Sunday Show panellist, and most recently as a poet on BBC Radio 3 in collaboration with the Ulster Orchestra. He writes for NI-based magazine, Dig With It, and is a well-known personality in various community-focused projects.
Rick O’Shea is a broadcaster on RTE – currently on RTE Radio Gold. He runs Ireland’s biggest book club, the Rick O’Shea Book Club on Facebook, and hosts public author interviews all around Ireland. He is part of the voting academy for the An Post Irish Book awards, and has been a judge at the Dublin Fringe Theatre Festival.
Paul and Rick are welcome additions to our Board, we can’t wait to work with them on many more exciting projects!
